Lots of late night painting, relayed a couple layers to make the whole piece flow better. Finished up my first project! I'm happy with how it came out but I'm not sure its satisfying. I know I worked hard on it, but it didn't grasp me or connect with me like i thought it might.

LOTS of work done this week. Finished up copying outline. Started to paint in the layers. This is looking pretty cool. Almost there, done all the hard stuff. Continued work on my first in class project. Almost done outline and replication. My hand hurts so much from this but i think it will be worth it. It's hard to keep the paper flat. Started and finished planning for my first project. Sketched out ideas, then practiced some. Made my template for the final and prepped the paper. My second "Terrific 2" project, this time a sculpture. I really like the look of the metallic paint on the black. It looks really good in some lighting. This was definitely more demanding and stressful than i thought it would be. I learned that the card stock wasn't truly thick or strong enough for this project. I had fun experimenting with the shape and the design, but it was a challenge to fit it all together. I like that i can take it apart and rebuild. Here's the process shots from my "Terrific 2" projects. This was the first project I chose to work on, a painting. I really wanted to make something that required multiple parts, I was really drawn to this idea at the end of last year. This painting was quite the journey. Lots ans lots of layers, working on getting the right balance and connection between the pieces, an underlying theme. I really enjoyed this piece, it was fun to get back into abstract painting with a purpose. LAST WEEK OF REAL SCHOOL. I painted some with color on one day. It's definitely not complete, and what i've got doesn't show the effort put in. Glad to be done with this project.
Last real week to get underpainting done. Made a lot of progress but i think a few things could use tweaking. I do not think oil paint is my thing. Began sketching out oil painting on canvas. Also, messing with composition and finding a good angle. Also started painting in values.... It's finally compete!!! Wish i had a littl emore time to change/ tweak some things, but overall it's decent. Hopefully i'll find some time to edit it some, but here it is.
